“Reincarnation as resistance”

This project focuses on the connection between 'reincarnation' and the Weibo banning account. 'Reincarnation' is an online phenomenon that has emerged on Weibo in China, referring to the act of a blocked user re-registering a new account to restart .The act of 'reincarnation' of Weibo accounts is part of a system of discursive resistance through the repetition of the Buddhist concept of body and soul.
