Grant awarded to Avans and European partner institutions
The European Commission has decided to award a €14.3 million grant to PIONEER, the European partnership which Avans University of Applied Sciences has been part of since 2022. This funding enables PIONEER to join the ranks of more than 60 European universities. “We are taking international cooperation in higher education to the next level.”

2024 National Student Survey: Avans still scores highly on inclusivity and lecturers
Over the years, student satisfaction at Avans has generally been very stable. The most important subjects for students in their ranking include the design of the education, the perceived dedication of lecturers and the evaluation of lecturers. Avans’ score is higher than the national average in all of those areas. This was once again shown in the results from this year’s National Student Survey (NSS).

The HBO Monitor shows once again that alumni are generally satisfied with their education at Avans University of Applied Sciences.

Avans grant application for European university
Avans University of Applied Sciences joined forces with nine other European universities of applied sciences and research universities to submit a grant proposal to the European Commission for the development of a joint European university.
