Project-Based Learning
Avans University of Applied Sciences has three campuses: in Breda, Den Bosch and Tilburg. You follow the study programme of your choice at one of these sites. The learning system at Avans is Project-Based Learning, which involves both practice and competency-based education. This way of studying is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and attitude to apply the lessons learned in real-life situations.
First you are taught the theory, and you then work together with a small group of fellow students on various practice-based assignments. This method really brings the subject matter to life: you understand what you are doing and, most importantly, you undergo excellent preparation for a job in the corporate sector.
Work placement
A work placement is another great way to prepare yourself for the professional field. Each student carries out two work placements with duration of one year in total. Avans University of Applied Sciences has extensive links with both national and international business communities. Our students regularly take part in work placements at international companies around the world. This valuable experience is very helpful as the first step in their careers.
Preparation for the labour market
