Biobased Technology and Business Development

The core of the Biobased Technology and Business Development programme is a multidisciplinary group project, which involves working for a company that wants to become more sustainable or further develop and implement a biobased technology.

Drawing up a business plan

As a group, you will be asked to draw up a business plan for your client addressing the technical, financial and marketing aspects of your assignment. Your group will consist of 4 to 5 students with a variety of backgrounds: technical disciplines, environmental science, economics and marketing.

A range of resources is available to help you develop and prepare an excellent business plan and advice for your client:

  • Your group will have weekly meetings with a lecturer who will act as your group tutor.
  • You will have the opportunity to confer with technical, financial and marketing specialists.
  • You will attend several skills workshops.
  • You will take a number of courses and training sessions, depending on your educational background.
