Forensic professional Safety and Society

You need to be interested in the person behind the deviant behavior and unsafe situations. Where does this behavior come from? How can it be explained? What trends do we see in it and how does society deal with people who display deviant behavior? Why do people feel unsafe or are situations becoming dangerous? The theme of safety is central to this: safety for an individual, a family, a neighborhood, society and the professional. There is a continuous balance between care, welfare and safety. In this, you also look at the interests of various stakeholders, at individual, family and neighborhood level. Please be aware there may be overlap if these subjects are a major part of your current curriculum.

If you are keen to equip yourself with the knowledge, skills and values to work in the field of care, welfare and safety, you are warmly invited to participate in this programme. As the number of participants is limited, applications will be processed on a first-come-first-served basis.
