Come to Coming Out Day 2023

Being proud of who you are and what you feel. And that we are all ordinary and different. Let's celebrate the differences and similarities. Come to Coming Out Day on Wednesday, October 11th at Onderwijsboulevard 3 in Den Bosch and help build the flag for connection: a flag measuring 6x9 metres, which will be made from all kinds of recycled materials.

Simply different

But there is more. Also visit the sex education bus, a physical meeting place where you can talk about sexuality and intimacy. Or watch the documentary 'Gewoon Anders' by Zoë Beekes, about her 2 mothers and 2 fathers.

You can also talk to Bossche drag queen Le Poison Ruby or listen to the podcast about Coming Out Day. A special in which queer student Max will talk about Avans University of Applied Sciences' Pink Helpdesk. Koning Willem 1 College teacher Dennis will talk about the GSA network he supervises. Zoë will also talk about her documentary.

Come by the information stalls and meet Antidiscrimination Agency Radar, COC Noordoost Brabant, GSA Network and BO Diversity, a non-profit organisation dedicated to creating awareness about prejudice, stereotyping and taboos.

Coming Out

Coming Out Day reminds us that everyone has the right to be authentic and accepted for who they are. It celebrates diversity and promotes a world where acceptance is central, regardless of one's sexual orientation or gender identity. So let's work together to create a more inclusive world where everyone can be themselves.

Coming Out in Tilburg

Do you work, live or study in Tilburg and would you like to participate in Coming Out Day on Wednesday 11 October? Then register with the Municipality of Tilburg by October 9th. During this event, we will engage in conversations about what it means to be an LGBTQIA+ individual with a (bi-)cultural background. We will share inspiring coming-out stories, but we will also reflect on the potential challenges of coming out.

What's more, we have a lineup of various performances, including singer Cyrille van Hoof and a dance performance by Angel 'Masked Children.' There will also be a film about a colorful society. We will conclude the evening with refreshments. It promises to be a beautiful and inspiring evening, one that is all about inclusion, diversity, and unity.

When: October 11th, from 6.30pm to 10.30pm
