Orientation Days 2010

For international students who start their study programme on August 30th, 2010, Avans University of Applied Sciences offers an orientation programme prior to the start of the academic year.

This orientation programme is obligatory.

Please note that you need to bring the following documents:

For Non-EEA students:
- copy of your passport or ID card
- an official copy of your birth certificate (legalised and translated)

For European students:
- copy of your passport or ID card
- an official copy of your international birth certificate (legalised)

August 24th and 25th, 2010:
Arrival day and general Avans orientation (by the International Office)

Arrival day, August 24th 2010:

Programme:

Arrival and reception at Avans University on August 24th between 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Please note that a bus will depart from Schiphol Airport to Avans University Breda at 9.00 a.m. (on August 24th). We'll meet you at the meeting point (red/white chequered cube).

Complete the arrival form before August 15th, so that we know when to expect you and to ensure that your arrival is as pleasant as possible.

Signing contracts for housing and reception of the key of your accommodation (if arranged through Avans)

General orientation, August 25th 2010:

Word of welcome by a member of the Executive Board of Avans and a representative of city hall of Breda/'s-Hertogenbosch

Tour through the school

Tour through the city

Dinner and party

August 26th and 27th, 2010:
Orientation at your Academy. The (conditional) programme varies per academy, they will inform you about further details.

August 30th and 31th and September 1st, 2010:
Arrangement of all necessary formalities, like registration at the city hall, opening a bankaccount, arrange insurances, apply for a residence permit (if necessary) and fill out the required forms.
